Strike-A-Light Pouch in a Shadowbox Frame. Turtle beadwork. Made of smoked tanned moosehide, deer dewclaws, ponybeads, and rosegold tin cone danglers.
They were originally used for carrying fire making supplies (flint); it is now often referred to as a tobacco pouch.
The fringes represent the rays of the sun - essential to all life, the dewclaws bring in gentle energy and the tin cone danglers invite the "Good Spirits" to walk with us.
16" high x 10" wide x 1.5" depth
