T. Kiitokii is from the Blackfoot Confederacy in Southern Alberta (Piikani Nation).

Through the dust and thunder in the prairie, a skilled hunter rides beside the great buffalo, his bow drawn with unwavering focus. The four red crosses above symbolize guidance, courage, and the sacred connection between the hunter, the buffalo, and the Creator. In the INDIGENOUS way of life, the buffalo was more than food it was life itself, providing shelter, clothing, tools, and spiritual strength. This painting  captures the moment of respect rather than conquest, honoring the ancient relationship between the people and the buffalo that sustained generations across the plains.
