Strike-A-Light Pouch with Bear beadwork. Made of smoked tanned moose hide. Embellished with dew claws, brass and glass beads, and stroud fabric.
They were originally used for carrying fire making supplies (flint); it is now often referred to as a tobacco pouch.
The fringes represent the rays of the sun - essential to all life and the tin cone danglers invite the "Good Spirits" to walk with us.
5" high (9" total with fringe) x approx. 4" wide.
