Traditional Beadwork                                                                                                                          Join in with the growing number of people who are finding beading to be a relaxing, centering experience.  Learn one or more of the various methods of beadwork:  Applique; floral or geometric, Lazy Stitch, Loom or Peyote

Traditional Art Retreat
Come join us for a day of hands-on indigenous traditional art, including lunch and refreshments. During this one-day retreat, you will create your own fish scale art and a bone and bead lanyard. Join us for a day of conversation and teachings.

Moose and Caribou Hair Tufting Retreat                                                                                            Come join us for two-day of hands-on learning a traditional art form including lunch and refreshments. During this retreat, you will sort, dye and sew on hide or velvet to create floral art.  It can also be applied to moccasins and garments. Two Day Retreat

Moccasin Making
Make yourself or your loved one a pair of Cree style moccasins. Decorate with beadwork if you already have the skill and finish in a variety of styles.

Must have basic hand sewing skills.
Cost $125.00 plus materials (price varies depending on hide used)

Talking Stick
In the medicine wheel teachings, we honor the four directions and the elements of earth, wind, fire & water. These will be incorporated into these sticks: when used with intent it will assist in neutralizing negative emotions and help you to speak from the heart.  Create your own talking stick and learn how to use it in ceremony & meetings.

Porcupine Quillwork                                                                                                                                Learn the ancient art of applying porcupine quills on garments, bags, footwear etc.  This is an art form that has become almost obsolete. Become a part of reviving it.

Medicine Wheel Teaching

By learning about the wheel, we gain a deeper respect for Mother Earth and all that exists. Through understanding the travel around the wheel, we bring life-giving changes into our lives and into the world. This workshop gives insight into the ancient teachings and protocols around ceremony of our First Nations people.  From birth to Elder, learning to balance mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional being and connecting to your spirit guides/power animal is all part of the journey. Class Cancellation Policy

  • A full refund is given if a course is cancelled by Moonstone Creation. An administrative fee of $25 will be charged for each withdraw request; however, the administrative fee will be waved for a transfer to another course.
  • Refunds will not be issued for any transfers.
  • Refunds will not be issued for any withdraws processed within 5 business days (Monday-Friday) of course start.
  • Refunds are not issued once the classes have begun or for non-attendance.
