Tobacco Pouch
$35.00
Strike-A-Light Pouch in a Shadowbox Frame. Floral beadwork. Made of smoked tanned moosehide, deer dewclaws, ponybeads, brass beads, tin cone danglers, and red stroud fabric.
They were originally used for carrying fire making supplies (flint); it is now often referred to as a tobacco pouch.
The fringes represent the rays of the sun - essential to all life, the dewclaws bring in gentle energy and the tin cone danglers invite the "Good Spirits" to walk with us.
