This "Mother and Child" is made from the ever beautiful Soapstone. Leo Arcand is a Northern Alberta soapstone sculptor. 

This soapstone carving has multiple faces in the carving. In the front of the carving you can see the eagle, though in his wings there is both a man and woman's face.
